Mrs. Mabel Agnes Peterson (nee Alcock) of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Mr. Orville Peterson, passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Sunday, August 9, 2009, at the age of 93 years. Mabel leaves to cherish her memory: sons, LeRoy
(Sylvia) Peterson, Leonard (Joan) Peterson; grandsons, Jay (Christine), Jeff (Angie), Jesse (Jody); seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her siblings, Albert, Sam, Martin, Liz, Hilda, Edith, Lilly and Kay. Mabel’s focus was always on her family. For many years she was an active member of the Eagles Club, the Moose and the Legion. Mabel enjoyed the many fishing and camping trips she shared with Orville over the years. She loved playing bingo and was an excellent dart player, having won a Gold Medal in Senior Games competition. The Funeral Service will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
