Peter Ralph Burrows passed away January 8th, 2023 at the age of seventy years. Pete was born in Bassano, Alberta to Ralph and Betty Anne Burrows on April 21, 1952. He grew up on his family ranch at Countess, Alberta and graduated high school in Bassano. Pete spent his young life working in B.C. logging, hunting and guiding. Pete married the love of his life June Tegart of Invermere, B.C. in 1975. They came home to Alberta and Pete worked at the LK McKinnon Ranch for several years. He then returned to the family home ranch where he hauled hay, trucked for John Bergen and Oilfield Company. Pete and June adopted a baby son in 1981, Walker, who sadly passed away in 2006. Pete is also pre-deceased by his father Ralph Burrows in 2005, his sister Patricia, his grandfather Ralph Burrows Sr., and his grandmother “Billie” Burrows. He is survived by his wife June (Tegart) Burrows, his mother Betty Anne (Armstrong) Burrows, his sisters Joanie and Maxine, his brothers Hunter and Bryce, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial luncheon for Pete will be held at the Bassano Community Hall February 4th, 2023 at 2:00pm.
