Shackleton – Sandra Gwen Shackleton (Rosen) of Medicine Hat, passed away in Medicine Hat on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 at the age of 52 years. Sandy was born on April 21st, 1963 in Picture Butte, AB. to Stanly and Carol Rosen and was raised in Rainier. She graduated from Brooks Composite High School in 1983. After high school she worked as caregiver for a few years until she began raising her children, Steven and Trisha. Sandy spent her time farming, raising cattle, and caring for her children. Sandy moved on from farming and attended Medicine Hat College to obtain her Nursing Assistant Certificate. Sandy worked at Brooks Hospital as well as Medicine Hat Hospital, until her health began to fail. She was predeceased by father Stanly Rosen. Sandy is loved and missed by her children, son Steven and her daughter Trisha; she is also survived by her mother Carol; 2 sisters, Sharon and Debbie; 3 brothers, Dale, Richard, and Pat and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 8th, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the EID Legion, Brooks. Rev. John Theiss officiating.
