Wayne Charles Andrew Boreen passed away peacefully December 25th, 2008 at Fort McLeod Extendicare Fort McLeod, Alberta at the age of 72 years.
Wayne was born November 13th 1936 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He came to Canada at 6 months of age to the Churchbridge, Saskatchewan area.
Wayne is survived by his daughter Shelley Morrison (Alfred) Tilley-Brooks, Ab., daughter Rhonda Boreen Lethbridge, Ab., son Darren Boreen Lethbridge, Ab., ex-wife Norma Boreen Lethbridge, Ab., sister June Taillieu (Godfrey) Winnipeg, Mb., sister Diane Blakely Regina, Sk., brother Arlen Boreen (Stella) Fernie, BC., sister Karen Carriere (Laurie) St. Albert, Ab., and brother in law Gary Vanderhaege Esterhazy, Sk., 10 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne’s greatest joy was his grandchildren and his great granddaughter. He loved hunting, fishing and camping in his younger years. He could always be found watching sports, he especially loved hockey, baseball and Canadian football.
Wayne was predeceased by his father Hugo Boreen 1984, his mother Edna Boreen 1996, sister Marlys Vanderhaege 1997, brother in law Keith Blakely and brother in law Dwayne Nerbis.
Cremation in care of Eden’s Funeral home Fort McLeod, Ab. Memorial service to be held at a later date.
