Three youth, two aged 10 one aged eight, have been identified as the individuals who were responsible for the damages and destruction at the Brooks Alliance Church in September.
Police are not able to charge or identify the youth because they are under the age of 12, however, their parents, police and church leaders held a restorative justice circle.
The circle was an opportunity for church members to convey the impact of actions on the facility and the community.
“The children were remorseful,” noted a social media post.
At the time of the incident, an officer noted that a “disheartening mess” was left at the church as a result of the vandalism.
When police arrived they found broken plates, food smashed, graffiti and swear words on the walls, items turned over and paint smeared over furniture.
