The Brooks Bandits will face the seventh place West Kelowna Warriors in the British Columbia Hockey League’s first playoff round.
In the final regular season home games the Bandits went 1-1.
The Warriors defeated the Trail Smoke Eaters 4-3 in overtime on Friday, their only game over the weekend.
Bandits goalie Griffin Wright, 18, who was recruited by the team in August played his first BCHL game on Friday when the team hosted the Spruce Grove Saints. Wright had 36 saves but they fell to the Saints in overtime.
Bandits goals were scored by Jace Letourneau, Dante Siciliano and Luke Bibby. At 4:11 of the overtime, Saints defenceman James Richards got the OT goal.
The Saints and Okotoks, which were separated by one point on Sunday, fought for the last spot in the Interior Conference.
On Saturday, Okotoks was defeated by the Bandits 7-3 in their second last regular season game, while the Saints, in their final regular season game, lost to Blackfalds 4-3.
The top eight teams to advance to the playoffs in the Interior Conference are Penticton, Brooks, Trail, Salmon Arm, Sherwood Park, Cranbrook, West Kelowna and Okotoks.
The Coastal Conference looked much like the Interior on Sunday as Langley Rivermen and Prince George Spruce Kings were separated by two points.
In their final game on Friday, the Rivermen were defeated by Chilliwack Chiefs.
On Sunday afternoon in Coastal Conference action the Spruce Kings defeated Powell River Kings 5-0 while in the Interior Conference Sherwood Park edged Okotoks 5-4.
The Coastal conference teams in the playoffs are Chilliwack, Surrey, Cowichan Valley, Victoria, Coquitlam, Nanaimo, Alberni Valley and Prince George.

FRED PAGE CUP
The first round of the 2025 playoffs for the Fred Page Cup begin on Thursday when Okotoks travels to Penticton.
On Friday, West Kelowna will be in Brooks, Nanaimo will be in Cowichan Valley, Sherwood Park will be in Salmon Arm, Cranbrook will be in Trail, Coquitlam will be in Victoria, Prince George will be in Chilliwack and Alberni Valley will be in Surrey.
The first playoff game in Brooks will begin at 7 p.m.
