Pace Solar has asked the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) to place their application for the Salt Flats project in Brooks in abeyance for three months.
“PACE had some additional field work done on the project site and is considering updating its layout,” states a submission to the AUC by the company’s lawyers.
The company is also considering further visual impacts pursuant to the Electric Energy Land Use and Visual Assessment Regulation.
If the application is approved it will mean that the four day oral hearing that was set to begin on April 14 would be cancelled.
A decision by the AUC is expected this week.
