Industrial Backhoes Ltd won the county’s contract for the Blocks 1 and 4 Lake Newell Resort projects.
The company had the lowest of the two bids that were submitted for the project.
While Backhoes was $3,626,770 the second bid, from Brooks Asphalt, was higher at $3,979,450.
The county had budgeted $4.9 million for the project.
The small roadways in the Blocks will represent a challenge for residents, however, the county will assist those who will need to park elsewhere but who also may have packages or other items to carry into their homes.
The county is expected to hold an open house for landowners during the week of June 23.
