Brooks Bulletin

There appears to be no stopping the Brooks Composite High Lady Buffalos basketball team.
Fresh off a home tournament win, the senior girls squad coached by Mike Heninger will take on the visiting Eagle Butte Talons Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.
The Lady Buffalos used a speed game combined with solid defensive play to win their home tournament.
Opening round action Friday afternoon had the girls cruising to a 76-30 win over Our Lady of the Snows.
This contest was basically over after the first quarter with Brooks leading 33-2.
The girls forced numerous turnovers with a press in the opening quarter which led to the offensive explosion.
Brynn Bremner led the offensive attack with 18 points while Ayen Mobor finished with 16 points.
Tournament semi-final play had the Lady Buffalos getting off to a slow start. As a result, they had to come from behind to earn a 71-57 win over Oilfields.
Ayen Mobor led the offence with 18 points while Megan Gubbins added 12 points.
The win pushed the BCHS girls into the tournament final against Strathmore.
Brooks only led by one point after three quarters of play but had a very strong fourth quarter, outscoring Strathmore 30-11 to win 72-52.
Brynn Bremner was the top scorer for Brooks with 19 points while Cali Fiset-Hofer and Adut Mobor both had 11 points.
