County updates 2025 fee schedule

Annual changes were approved to the county’s fee schedule effective Jan. 1 including increases to utilities and fire charges.
The updated Alberta Transportation billing rates and fees charged to property owners and collected through insurance for emergency services have increased by $20 per unit per hour to $720 for engines, pumpers, rescue units.
A command unit has increased by $5 per hour per unit to $210 per unit per hour.
The base charge for those on the rural water distribution system will be $30.17 and the consumption fee is up to $36.52.
In the hamlets, the base charge for the water system is $40.29 and a consumption charge of $2.65. The sanitary sewer charge will be $31.84.
Dust abatement is now $3.08 per linear metre up to 300 metres or 65 per cent of the full cost up to the application deadline.
The non-residential application rate is $4.74 per linear metre.
The county is making changes to the dust abatement policy that will likely see putting product in subdivisions.
An additional fee has been included for the mini bus if rented for activities outside the county.
The fee is $50 per hour plus 95-cents per kilometre and a $34 administration fee.
