Young – Sheila Patricia Young of Brooks passed away at Brooks Health Centre on May 28, 2016 at the age of 86. Sheila was born in England, received her education there and was employed in the hospitality industry and as an office administrator. In 1990 she moved to Canada and spent much of her time volunteering in the community.
Sheila was actively involved at the Brooks Food Bank and since 2008 she donated her time 4 days a week. She very much enjoyed helping others but in her spare time she would knit, read and play bingo. Sheila was a loving mother to seven children and was a much loved grandma and great grandma. In memory of Sheila, if family or friend’s desire, memorial tributes may be made to Brooks and District Health Foundation towards the purchase of a kidney dialysis machine.
