YON – Michael Anthony Yon “Mike”
Mike was born in Chilliwack, British Columbia on January 26, 1951. Passed peacefully away at Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, Alberta on January 12, 2017 at the age of 65 years.
Forever remembered and survived by his loving wife Ida, children Michael (Melinda), Kelly (Jamie) and Roland. Four grandchildren Jordan, Jaicee, Tylor and Conner.
Memories cherished and also survived by four stepchildren and their spouses, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mike also leaves behind his mother Margaret Yon, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, a large family and a big circle of friends.
He is predeceased by his father Gerald Yon and two brothers.
Mike was a friend to many. Mike was employed at JBS Food Canada while he was a resident of Bassano and Brooks. Mike was a humble man who enjoyed a simple life of camping, coffee at Tim Hortons and garage sales.
In keeping with Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
