Wright – Ronald Lynn Wright, beloved husband of Glenda Wright of Taber, Alberta, passed away peacefully in Taber on September 25th ,
2006 at the age of 60 years. Born in Lethbridge on March 19th , 1946 Lynn received his education Brooks, post secondary education at Rick’s College, Rexburg, Idaho on a track Scholarship and also attended Vermillion College in the electrical field. Lynn and Glenda Coombs were married on October 18^th , 1969 in Brooks and resided in Calgary, Lethbridge, Pincher Creek, Cavendish, Princess, Brooks, Slave Lake, Vegreville, Stettler, Taber and Milk River. He was employed at Nova Corporation for 22 years and 5 years with Plains Marketing of Canada.
Lynn enjoyed horses, hunting and coaching kids in baseball, basketball, hockey and ringette. He will be remembered for his “can do” attitude, sense of humour, his personality, his fairness, for being the best coach a kid could have, his high standards and morals and respect for adults and children. Lynn had such an array of knowledge from history to electrical, carpentry, mechanics and horses. He was predeceased by his father LeRoy, brother Bryce, sister Arlene and father-in-law Ben Coombs.
Lynn is survived by his loving family, wife Glenda, 3 children, Darren of Stettler; Brad and his wife Jenny and their daughter Brooklyn all of Stettler; Kerilyn Wright and her son Logan of Taber; mother Margaret Wright of Brooks; sister Carol (Poul) Blindback of Enchant; mother-in-law Kaye Coombs of Brooks and her family Greg Coombs (Gail Healey), Margo (Kei) Nishida and Kathy (Joe) Hemsing and families.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 29th from the Brooks United Church. Rev. George Edmonds officiating. Interment to follow at Brooks Cemetery. In memory of Lynn, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, EID Branch
