Worsfold – David John Worsfold, beloved husband of Violet Worsfold of Brooks, passed away peacefully on January 31st, 2005 at the Brooks Health Centre, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 64 years. Born on October 24th, 1940 in England, David was a kind, gentle man who always made time to stop and chat with friends, he will be missed. He was predeceased by his mother Jessie, father Frank and granddaughter Bridget.
Besides his loving wife Violet, he is survived by his sister Helen; brothers Keith (Janet) and Ian (Vicki) as well as several nieces and nephews all residing in England; stepson James Beardsley and his wife Maureen; three grandchildren Caroline, Virginia (Doug) and Simon (Gloria) and ‘his’ much loved great grandchildren Britt, Amanda, Logan, Cole, Austin, Jessica, and James. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 3rd from Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ken Wells officiated.
