WORSFOLD – Violet “Vi” Ethel
1918 – 2007
Violet “Vi” Ethel Worsfold, beloved wife of the late David Worsfold of Tilley, AB, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, June 15, 2007 at the age of 88 years.
Vi is survived by a sister, Betty Newham of England; daughter-in-law, Maureen; grandchildren, Caroline (Reid), Virginia (Doug), and Simon (Melissa); and great-grandchildren, Britt, Amanada, Logan, Cole, Austin, Jessica, and James. Besides her husband, David, Vi was predeceased by her first husband, Harry; granddaughter, Bridget; and most recently, her only child, Jim Beardsley in December of 2006.
Vi enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in nursing, passing down her passion of caring for others to ‘her’ many students over the years. She immigrated to Canada from England after retiring in order to be closer to her family, and to enjoy her great-grandchildren.
