    Woodman – Douglas Owen Woodman, beloved husband of Vivian, Rolling Hills, passed away on May 26th, 2004 in Bow Island at the age of 69 years. Doug was born in Ellershouse, Nova Scotia on August 23rd, 1934 and came west to Purple Springs at the age of 17 years. He and Viv were married in Winnipeg on November 14th, 1958 and farmed in Purple Springs until moving to Rolling Hills in 1966. He was an avid outdoorsman.

    Doug will be lovingly remembered for his faith in God, his sense of humour and for his enthusiastic spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him. He was predeceased by his mother Freida and father Owen. Doug is survived by his loving family, wife Vivian; son Brad and grandson Alan of Rolling Hills; daughter Janet Little and her husband Gord of Leduc and those special friends and family dear to Doug. Funeral services were held 2:00 PM on Monday, May 31st at the Rolling Hills Community Centre. Doug Rawling officiated. Honorary Pallbearers were all those who shared in Doug’s life. Urn Bearers were his son Brad and grandson Alan. Inurnment followed at Rolling Hills Cemetery. In memory of Doug, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to either Wilderness Ranch, Box 1804, Claresholm T0L 0T0 or Bow Island Health Foundation, Bag 3990, Bow Island T0K 0G0.
