WILLMS – Willms, Penny.
With our deepest sorrow we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother and grandmother, Penny Kaye Willms. She passed away peacefully at the age of 52 on January 28, 2004 in Brooks with her family at her side. She fought a courageous battle against cancer. Penny was born on February 1, 1951 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. On October 9, 1971 she married Ed Willms from Scandia where she raised her family and stayed busy helping Ed run their beekeeping business. After retiring and moving to Brooks in 2001, Ed and Penny enjoyed spending time together in both Mazatlan, Mexico and Kaslo, B.C. Penny will be most remembered for the time she devoted to her grandchildren.
She also enjoyed piano, the arts, reading and the Spanish language. Her kindheartedness touched many lives. Penny will be deeply missed. The beautiful memories we shared will be always treasured and cherished. We love you Penny, rest in peace. Penny leaves to mourn a wealth of family and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. Ed was her beloved husband and best friend and will always be remembered to him as his “little sweetheart.” She will also be fondly remembered by her children Brad, Coralie (Jeff), Wendy (John) and eight grandchildren, Elex, Karlyn, Scott, Rebecca, Halee, Tyren, Tytus and Maizy. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made in Penny’s name to Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331-29 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 4N2 (Telephone 403-944-2433).
