WESTER – Arne John Wester, lifetime resident of Tilley, Alberta and more recently of Newbrook Lodge, went to be with his Lord on August 27th, 2019, at the Brooks Health Centre at the age of 87 years. Arne was born, along with his twin brother Norman, at the Bassano Hospital on September 17th, 1931. He received his education at Renfrew School located across the road from the family farm and Bible training at Canadian Bible Institute in Regina, Saskatchewan. He began to farm in his early teens and continued actively farming until he rented out his land in 2014. Arne married Bessie Jean Gingrich on December 3rd, 1960, in Bassano, Alberta. They enjoyed almost 58 years of marriage. He will be dearly missed by his wife and his daughters and their families. Arne is survived by his loving wife Bessie; daughters Sharon (Jerry) Durston of Regina, Saskatchewan and Beverley (Jim) Clow of Tilley; grandchildren Sheena (Jeremy) Johnsrude, Shea (Sharlyn) Durston, Tyler (Kristen) Durston, Levi (Shaylee) Durston, Danae (Dallas) Evans, Luke Durston, Josh (Hilary) Clow, Danielle Clow, and Joelle Clow; eleven great grandchildren; brother Ralph (Althea) Wester; sister Evelyn Skanderup; sister-in-law Anne Wester, as well as Bessie’s sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Arne was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Anna Wester, stepmother Gertie Wester, twin brother Norman Wester, and numerous extended family. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 6th, at 10:30 AM at the Bethany Lutheran Church Cemetery, Tilley. Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 PM at the Brooks Evangelical Free Church.
