Wallace – Margurite Isabelle Mary Wallace, beloved wife of Will Wallace of Gem, passed away in Brooks on July 3rd, 2003 at the age of 72 years.
Born in Countess on August 13th, 1930 Marg attended the Clemenceau School and later the Rosemary High School. She graduated from Garbutts Business College, Calgary with a Secretarial Certificate and had been employed in the city. She and Will were married in Calgary on October 30th, 1951 and together farmed in Gem. Marg was very involved in her community and loved sports especially curling, baseball and golf. She will be lovingly remembered for her love for her family, for being so supportive of her children and grandchildren and for her competitive spirit.
Marg was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her loving family, husband Will of Gem, daughter Diane Chomin and her husband Gary of Vancouver and their children James and Natalie; son Ron and his wife Lorill of Gem and their children Alisen and Wade; daughter Colleen Slater and her husband Harold of Okotoks and sister Barbara Clyne and her husband John of Olds.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 8th from Trinity Lutheran Church, Brooks. Rev. Jake Doerksen of Gem officiatied.
