    WALDE – Abraham Henry Walde – Born October 16, 1911, Altonau, S. Russia (Ukraine). Died October 15, 2005, Lloydminister, Saskatchewan. Loving husband of C. Myrtle Cambell, married September 5, 1942. Beloved father of seven children, grandfather of 22, great-grandfather of 29. Bothers – Pete (deceased) and Tena, Henry and Erna. Sisters – Mary and Dave Kasdorf (both deceased), Louise and Harry Block, Katie and Pete Klassen, Hilda and Bob Bennett. Born to Henry Abram and Maria (Weibe) Walde in Altonau, S Russia (Ukraine). His parents brought their family to Canada in 1926, settling in Rosemary/Gem, Alberta. Abe left home for bible school and graduated from Bethany Bible College in 1934, from Prairie Bible Institute in 1939 and later, from Toronto Bible Institute in 1945. He was married to Myrtle Campbell on September 5, 1942 and seven children were born to them. They were very much involved in the beginnings of the Manitou Gospel Mission, now Manitou Evangelical Free Church, and the Manitou Lake Bible Camp. Abe and Myrtle ministered with Canadian Sunday School Mission in Northern Alberta and Saskatchewan until the late 1950’s when his voice failed and he turned to the Rawleigh sales business and then farming with Uncle Ernie Graham west of Neilburg. In 1980, Abe and Myrtle moved into Neilburg to care for Grandma Campbell and then Uncle Ernie. Abe’s farming work was gradually turned over to Dean, their third son. During his retirement years, he continued with many ministries including the Gideons of Canada in the distribution of bibles.
