    Gerald Alvin Vincent of Brooks, beloved husband of the late Barbara Vincent and father and grandfather, passed away in Brooks on Tuesday, November 12th, 2013 at the age of 75 years. Gerry was born on January 8th, 1938 in Windsor, Ontario to Alvin and Virginia Vincent. Gerry was a great man and was always there for you. He was diagnosed with a disease called PSP which is Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, but Gerry was a fighter to the end. He had a wonderful nurse that looked after him everyday. They could say he was stubborn some days and willing to listen other days, they were wonderful to him. Before Gerry got sick, he loved to go fishing with his friends and also watch any baseball game on TV, but his favourite team was the Toronto Blue Jays. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 43 years, Barbara on September 27th, 2013, and his parents. Gerry is survived by his loving family, son Michael (Nichole) Vincent; daughter Melissa (Troy) Kearney; grandchildren, Catrina, Jana and Sierra Kearney, D’Arci, Jonas and Jorja Vincent; brothers Stan and Ron; sisters Sharon and Gail and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22nd at 2:00 PM from Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. John Theiss officiating. In memory of Gerry, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to Brooks Mental Health Association, Bag 300, Brooks, Alberta T1R 1B3.
