Eimert Van Otterloo passed away in Brooks on October 31, 2005 at the age of 78 years. Born on May 18, 1927 in Stompwijk, The Netherlands. Eimert immigrated to Canada in February of 1951. He married Adriana Taal in Duchess on September 23, 1951. Eimert loved his family and held his children and grandchildren close to his heart, even though many lived at a distance. Eimert was predeceased by his wife Adriana. He was survived by his loving family, daughter Willy and her sons R.J. (Angie) and Scott (Kelly); son Maarty and his wife Ali and their children Josh, Sarah and Sam; son Bill and his wife Mary Ellen and their children Kris (Peter) and Jer; daughter Sheryl; 3 great grandchildren Nic, Peyton and Linden; 2 sisters, 2 brothers and their families. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday November 5 from the Christian Reformed Church, Brooks, Rev Christopher Fluit officiated. Pall bearers were R.J. Kabotoff, Scott Kabotoff, Josh Van Otterloo, Sam Van Otterloo, Peter Rakestraw and Jer Van Otterloo. In memory of Eimert, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of choice.
