It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stanley Kenneth Turner of Lethbridge, formally of Brooks, on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 peacefully in his sleep at the age of 89.
Stan leaves to mourn his life’s companion and best friend Darie, sons Darryl (Barb), Patrick and Les (Crystal) and his daughter Denise (Alfred Dendy); 8 grand-children and 6 great-grandchildren.
Stan taught at Brooks Junior High School from 1963 until his retirement in 1989.
While in Brooks he as active in the community, his church and the Knights of Columbus.
Prayers were held on Friday, April 30 at 7:00pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Lethbridge. A funeral mass and celebration of Stan’s remarkable life was held at St. Martha’s Catholic Church in Lethbridge on Saturday, May 1, 2021.
In lieu of flowers, Stan requests that donations be made to the Alberta Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation, #4, 5570 – 47 Street Red Deer, AB T4N 1S1.
