Tigchelaar – Klaas Johannes Tigchelaar of Brooks beloved husband of the late Hendrina Tigchelaar, passed away in Brooks on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025, at the age of 78 years. Klaas was born on August 17th, 1946 in Kimswerd, Netherlands to Oepke and Ruurdje Tigchelaar. He married Hendrina (Ena) de Gelder on March 28th, 1979 in Stoney Creek, Ontario. Klaas worked in Maintenance for the Grasslands School District in Brooks until his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed music and singing. Klaas will be fondly remembered for his faithful service to the church. He was predeceased by his loving wife Ena, parents Oepke and Ruurdje Tigchelaar, and brother Johan. Klaas is survived by his children Stephen and Samantha Tigchelaar, and sisters Trienke and Annemarie. A Celebration of Life Service for Klaas and Ena will be held on Saturday, April 26th at 11:00 AM from the Brooks Christian Reformed Church. Rev. Martin Boardman officiating. In memory of Klaas, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to a charity of choice.
