Tancowny – Clarence Tancowny of Brooks, AB, beloved husband of Mary Tancowny, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020 at the age of 70 years. Clarence was predeceased by a grandson Brandon Preston; parents, Paul and Helen Tancowny; sisters Delores and Doreen and brother Dennis and brothers-in-law, Eldon Dyck, Neil Cooley and Ed Dyck. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Mary Tancowny; daughter Tina (Barry) Preston and their children Kaitlyn Tancowny (Danny Larson), Brody Preston (Molly Brough) and Rachele; sons, Clint (Kris) Tancowny and their children, Sydney Tancowny (Eric Jensen) and Grace, Roland (Carie-Lynne) Tancowny and their children, Houston Tancowny (Kaitlyn Brumwell) and Branson Tancowny, Blain Tancowny and his children Dade Wile, Raiden Tancowny, Jade Tancowny and Daymond; and the newest edition his Great-Grandson Bentley; sister Diane Gilbert; brother Ron and Diane Tancowny; sisters-in-law, Barb Tancowny, Carole Dyck, Diana Cooley and Anna Dyck; brothers-in-law, Earl (Diane) Dyck and Larry (Carol) Dyck as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 7th, 2020 at 11:00 AM from Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. John Theiss and Pastor Maggie Theiss officiating. Interment will take place at Brooks Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Clarence, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to Brooks Special Olympics, Box 94, Brooks, Alberta T1R 1B2.
