    Stroeder – Courtney Laura Stroeder of Tilley passed away suddenly on October 20th, 2013 near Rosetown, Saskatchewan at the age of 19. Courtney was born December 17th, 1993 in Brooks to her proud parents, Olivia and Dale Stroeder. She attended Tilley School until 2007 and graduated from Brooks Composite High School in 2011 with honours and multiple scholarships. Courtney was enrolled in her third year in the Faculty of Education at the University of Saskatchewan and was a teacher at heart. She grew up on the farm near Tilley, a country girl, through and through. Courtney loved her dogs, all animals, farming, running equipment, dirt-biking, hunting and riding horses. She excelled in school and was an exceptional athlete, winning numerous medals in many sports. Courtney loved to travel and recently took a trip with her Mom to Thailand where she embraced all she met with compassion and love. Courtney’s values and accomplishments were all based on her belief of a strong family foundation. For her, nothing was more important than family. Courtney will forever be loved and missed by her parents, Olivia and Dale, siblings, Desirae and Cole, her extended Mexican family, special friend Lance Staniek, grandparents Adolph and Vicky Wolkowski of Rama, Saskatchewan, Ernie and Bernice Stroeder of Preeceville, Saskatchewan and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Prayer Service was held at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 25th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Funeral Service was held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 26th at Brooks Composite High School. Mr. Grant Jensen was Master of Ceremonies.
