Stolson – Kayana Dion Stolson of Red Deer, beloved daughter of Janis and Brad Stolson of Brooks, passed away in Red Deer on October 12th, 2014 at the age of 22 years. Kayana was a beautiful young lady that was full of life and brought tremendous joy to the lives of those she touched. She enjoyed music, fashion, and time with many loving friends. Kayana trained very hard through the years as a dancer. In her spare time she loved boating with her family. From an early age she aspired to be a “Superstar” and was quite committed to following in the footsteps of her entertainment idol “Sasha Fierce”. She enjoyed capturing memories of family and friends through photography and videos and has left her loved ones with many such memories. Kayana felt strongly about being an independent woman in spite of her epilepsy. She was predeceased by her father Daniel Dei in 1996, her grandmother Sandra Stolson in July, 2014 and her uncle John McCandless. She is survived by her loving family; parents Janis and Brad Stolson, sister Mercedee Stolson and grandfather Kurt Stolson all of Brooks, uncles Darcy and his wife Marissa of Ponoka, Kevin and his wife Kathy of Bowden, cousins Janelle Spek (Jacob), Colby, Cody, Dillin, Tyler, Kasandra, Katrina, Aurora Stolson and Kenzi-Jane Spek, great grandparents Ted and Jan Lineham of Okotoks, grandparents Bev and Dave Hoffman of Red Deer, uncle Derrick Lee and wife Mala of Cochrane, aunt Michelle Corbeil and husband Jason of Red Deer, cousins Raef, Alexa, Emilie, Nathan, Brooklyn, Tori and Jaxun, grandparents Richard and Rose Dei of London, Ontario, brother Markus and cousin Dymond along with many aunts, uncles and cousins of the Dei family. Services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church on October 20th at 3:00 PM, Reverend John Theiss officiated.
