    Sinclair – William Gavin “Bill” Sinclair of Brooks, formerly of Rolling Hills, passed away in Brooks on Friday, February 20th, 2015 at the age of 99 years. He was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on November 4th, 1915, the youngest son of John and Margaret Sinclair. He grew up on the family farm in Glidden, Saskatchewan, where he completed his high school. The family moved to Rolling Hills in 1939, exchanging their Saskatchewan land for 160 acres of irrigated land. Bill farmed until 1986, when he retired and moved into town. He loved farming and kept his ties to the land by helping friends during the busy seasons. Bill was an active supporter of the community and worked on many community improvements. He served on the Rolling Hills Grazing Association, Tirol Gas Co-op and Rural Electrification Association. Bill was a willing worker, helping build the Rolling Hills Community Hall and the Rolling Hills Senior’s Drop-In Centre, where he spent many evenings playing pool and cribbage. He was an avid curler until he was 83 years old and also played with the Trojans Baseball Team for many years. At the age of 98, Bill moved into Orchard Manor and later to Sunrise Gardens in November, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Margaret Sinclair, brother Walter, sister Agnes, and niece Colleen. Bill is survived by his nephews, John Landree of Houston, Texas, Howard Landree and his wife Vicki of Houston, Texas, Donald Landree and his wife Jean of Regina, Saskatchewan; niece Diane Eng and her husband John of Salmon Arm, British Columbia and numerous great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 27th at 2:00 PM from the Rolling Hills Community Hall. Rev. Debbie Daniels officiating. Interment to follow at the Rolling Hills Cemetery.
