SHUTTLEWORTH – Mrs. Lauretta Shuttleworth of Olds, Alberta passed away peacefully at Foothills Hospital on October 13, 2024, at the age of 84 years. Lauretta was born on March 15, 1940 in Medicine Hat, Alberta.She married Keith Shuttleworth of Rolling Hills, Alberta and together they raised their three children Reid, Lisa and Judy on the farm in Rolling Hills.
Lauretta loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them; baking, cooking, sewing, and crafting with the grandchildren. Lauretta also liked to spend time outdoors and took great pride in her yard and garden.
Lauretta is lovingly remembered by her three children Reid Shuttleworth, Judy(Tony) Byers and Lisa (Scott) Severtson. Her grandchildren include Josh(Chantelle), Justin (Savana), Tamara (Brent), Jesse (Caleigh), Hollie(Rollie),Levi(Kennedy),Amy (Tyler),Molly (Taren) and her great grandchildren Cyrus, Sophia, Penelope,Jordy, Jace, Wyatt, Eli, Finan, Eva and Sloane.
Lauretta also leaves to mourn her sister Cora-Lee, brothers Brian, Gord, Don and Lyle, many nieces and nephews, and sister in law Gail.
Lauretta will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Besides her loving husband Keith, Lauretta was predeceased by her parents Laura and Ralph, brothers Ken and Glen and daughter-in-law Sherrie.
The family wish to express their sincere thanks to the Olds Dialysis Unit for their support and care given to Lauretta over the past year.
Flowers gratefully declined but if desired, memorial donations in Lauretta’s honor may be made to the Olds Hemodialysis Unit, 3901-57 Avenue Olds, Alberta T4H 1T4.
The family would also like to thank neighbours Harold and Carol, Murray and Marg for everything they have done over the past years.
The family invite friends and relatives to a Celebration of Life in honor of both Lauretta and Keith on November 14, 2024 from 1-4 pm at Heartland Funeral home in Olds, Alberta.
