    Mrs. Mary Seitz passed away suddenly at her home in Medicine Hat on Monday, April 11th, 2005, at the age of 80 years. Mary leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 58 years, Ted; three sons, Gerald (Diane) of Ste. Anne, Cecil (Judi) of Cochrane, and Barry (Joy) of Cranbrook; nine grandchildren, Yasmin (Don), Monica (Jeff Crosson), Shawn (Jessica), Frankie, Bruce, Scott, Amber, Heather, and Kurtis; three great grandchildren, Kailen, Briley, and Aiden; one brother, John Deg (Barbara); six sisters, Lily Finkbeiner, Hilda Raw, Clara (Emile) Vossler, Dorothy Dreger, Mabel Cranmer, and Evelyn Janke; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Barbara Deg; her youngest son, Lyle; her great grandson, Jefferson Crosson; and her brother, Carl Deg. Mary was born near Vanguard, Saskatchewan, on March 26th, 1925. She married Ted Seitz on November 16th, 1946 in Glen Bain, Saskatchewan and, together, they moved to Brooks where they raised their four boys. They loved camping, fishing, and spending time with their family. Upon retirement, Ted and Mary returned to Medicine Hat where Mary enjoyed gardening and crafts. She was well known for her beautiful afghans which she gave away frequently. Mary was a very active member of the Riverside Presbyterian Church and loved singing in the choir. She will be dearly missed by her “Mice” friends as well as by the many lifelong friends she made in Brooks and Medicine Hat. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, on Thursday, from 9:00 to 9:55 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, on Thursday, April 14th, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Robert Cruickshank and Reverend Diane Beach co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Family Plot at Hillside Cemetery.
