Sckopke – Betty Sckopke passed away in Brooks on Thursday, July 28th, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving daughter of Irene Chapman, caring mother of Gerry and his wife Patricia; Hedda Potter and her husband Ace; Melinda Robinson and her special friend Rob; loving grandmother of Stephene, Amber, Rachel, Nathan, Lori, Giselle, Gilbert; nine great grandchildren and special sister to Peter (Patricia) Vaudry, Rena Allard (late husband Bill), Audrey “Penny” Armour and Shirley (Bob) Allard. Betty will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Paul, stepfather Harry Chapman, brothers Leo, Butch, Gary, Ron and sister Rita Becking. Betty was a longtime member of the Ladies of the Royal Purple and the Legion’s Ladies Auxiliary. She was a faithful card player and a good friend to many. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 6th from Smith Memorial Chapel with Katherine Hemsing officiating.
