The family of Mia Suzanne Schoenfeld of Brooks, Alberta, is saddened to announce her sudden passing on July 20, 2024 at the age of 54 years old. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Kayla Bertin (Savy), Cassandra Neal (Casey); her grandchildren, Cassidy Sam, Harlow Neal, Takaya Hague, Maddox Sam, Braylee Hague, Dackyryn Neal and Atreyus Neal; sisters, Debbie Bellavance and Nancy Lassiter (Kent) and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Damon Clark, her parents Eldon and Kayneta Schoenfeld, grandparents Delyle and Leone Sorensen and Eldon and Marion Schoenfeld, aunt Lyla Dee Reid, uncles Kevin Sorensen, Richard Rolfson and Barrie Thurber, cousins Jeffery Gray, Bretton Reid, Weston Reid and Kara Reid.  Mia Suzanne Schoenfeld was born on July 3, 1970 in Brooks, Alberta to Eldon and Kayneta Schoenfeld. Mia grew up in Rosemary with her two older sisters where they lived and played hard and made many happy memories. Although Mia spent a short time living outside the County, she spent the majority of her adult life living in Rosemary and Brooks. Mia’s three children Kayla, Cassandra and Damon were her pride and joy. She had many great friends and her easy going and upbeat demeanor touched all who knew her. She will be forever and fondly remembered for her spunk, her creativity and her sassiness. Through struggles and triumphs Mia’s incredible sense of humor and giving attitude was an inspiration. Mia enjoyed gardening, thrift store shopping, writing poetry, cooking and spending time with family and friends.  She was an avid reader and through this, was self taught and knowledgeable in many disciplines, especially in psychology. Her love to give to others shone through especially bright during the Christmas season. Mia had a deep spiritual connection and had a strong conviction that there are no coincidences, that patterns of numbers and letters have meaning, and our dreams hold significant clues to our inner selves. A dual celebration of life for Mia and her mother, Kayneta Shoenfeld, will be held on August 17, 2024 at 2:00 pm from the Rosemary Recreation Complex.  A potluck lunch will follow the celebration and is open for guests to bring their favorite dish. If friends and family so desire, donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
