It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Timothy “Tim” Jerry Schneider. Tim passed away suddenly on July 27, 2017 at the age of 53 years.
Tim was born March 12, 1964 in Brooks, Alberta to Eugene and Irene Schneider.
Tim was a great man whose humour, enthusiasm, determination, honesty and love always shone through. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and made best friends wherever he went.
A passion for sports was central in Tim’s life and hockey was always #1 – whether playing, coaching or cheering on his Oilers, he was never far from the rink. No one could get away from a conversation without at least some hockey, baseball or golf talk.
Tim’s determination was strong throughout his career and brought him success as an operator, then foreman with Pan Canadian. He and Carole then bought and grew Parcel’s Trucking until retirement in 2007.
Retired life was lived fully and enthusiastically by Tim and Carole. The adventures were endless as they travelled the world, golfed, enjoyed the lake, kept up the yards (and gravel), and spent time with their many friends, children and grandchildren.
Tim lived by the words “Life Is Great” and made every day Great!
Tim was pre-deceased by his parents Eugene and Irene Schneider and brother Ken.
Tim leaves to mourn his loving family: wife Carole; children Steve (Ashley) and their daughter Annelise; Larissa (Garret) Dillabough and their son West; siblings: Monty (Yolande) Schnieder, Teresa (John) Sewall and Randy Schnieder; numerous other brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
A celebration of Tim’s life was held at Stettler Funeral Home, Stettler, Alberta on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM with long time friend Cory Zimmer officiating. Several friends, family members and colleagues gave loving tributes. Musical Selections were “Wheat Kings” by Tragically Hip and “Part of Me, Part of You” by Glenn Frey. Tim was laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery. Family and friends gathered for a time of fellowship and a luncheon by Teresa’s Catering at the Royal Canadian Legion.
