Sawyer – It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Ruth Sawyer, she was born on January 8th, 1948 in Vancouver, BC. Linda passed away peacefully in her home in Brooks on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 at the age of 74 years. She was a very caring loving mother to her son Daniel Briggs. Linda loved to read, sew and shop. She had a creative flare to turn simple items into works of art, with lots of sparkle and glitter. Linda will be remembered for her unconditional love and passion for her animals. She adopted a dog (Scooter) and a cat (Goldie) from a shelter and remained dedicated to support the cause of many shelters. Linda leaves to mourn her loving family, son Daniel Briggs and grandson Roland Briggs; siblings, Bonnie Fairbrother, Carol Siemans, Randy Kamp, Jean Hudson, Gordon Hudson, David Hudson and her soul sister, Linda Greengrass. She was predeceased by husbands Roland Briggs and Thomas Sawyer; mother Evelyn (Peter) Kamp. A huge hug goes out to Sean Mallick and James and Kendra for all of their kindness and care in supporting Linda. As per Linda’s request, there will not be a public service.
