Pritchard – Jeannette Marie Pritchard of Brooks passed away in Brooks on May 18, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Jeannette was born in Lemberg, Saskatchewan on December 28, 1928 and received her education there. She recalled winter trips to school in a horse and sled and summertime travels on horseback. Upon graduation she attended Bible College in Regina and later founded First Alliance Church in Dawson Creek. From Dawson Creek she moved with her family to Duchess before eventually retiring to Brooks. Jeannette enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, knitting, crochet, family gatherings, camping, and stamp collecting. She was a prayer warrior and thought often of her sisters and brother back home in Saskatchewan. Jeannette had a strong will and spirit and will be remembered for her love of life and family. She was predeceased by her husband Philip, 4 sisters and 1 brother. Jeannette is survived by her loving family; 7 children Dwight and his wife Carolyn of Smoky Lake, Alberta, Greg and his wife Sharene of Drayton Valley, Alberta, Blair of Terrace, B.C., David and his wife Darla of Terrace, B.C., Gail and her husband Casey of Brooks, Delphine Strome and her husband Merve of Calgary, Vivian Pritchard of Chilliwack, B.C., 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 21 at Thom’s Funeral Home and Reception Centre at 2:00 pm, Reverend Alvin Penner Officiated.
