Plumer – Richard Mason Plumer, beloved husband of Velma Plumer of Bassano, passed away peacefully in Bassano on March 10th, 2003 at the age of 73 years.
Born in Bassano on October 12th, 1929 he received all his education there. Dick married Velma Harris on October 14th, 1950 in Bassano and farmed in the area and owned and operated Bud’s Farm Equipment, Bassano.
Dick was an active member in the Bassano Masonic Lodge and the Big Country Shrine Club. He loved his family, community, golfing, curling and fishing.
Dick will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and honesty.
He was predeceased by a daughter Lesley Joan, son Richard Alan, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Dick is survived by his wife Velma of Bassano; son Kent and his wife Lois of Saskatchewan; daughter Tracey Lynn Dundas and her husband Glen of Hussar; 4 grandchildren Dallas and Nicole Dundas and Bronwen and Kenna Plumer and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 14th, from Knox Presbyterian Church, Bassano. Rev. Fiona Wilkinson officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Dick’s family and friends.
