It is with deep sadness the family of Agnes Robertson Philpott announces her peaceful passing on March 7th, 2007 in Brooks at the age of 86 years. Born in Carbon, Alberta on October 25th, 1920 Agnes received her education there. She married the late Jeff Philpott on December 31st, 1940 in Brooks and together they were 2nd generation Bee Keepers. Agnes was a Charter Member of the Brooks Kinette Club, Charter President of the K-ette’s Club, Life Member of the Alberta Bee Keepers Ladies Auxiliary, member of the Royal Purple and a member of the Red Hatters. She loved her family, dancing, golfing, curling, the lake, traveling and music. Agnes will be remembered for her memory and for her pride of her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Jeff, a grandchild, 2 sisters and a brother. Agnes is survived by her loving family, 4 children Dale and his wife Gladis of Brooks; Sheryl Pinnock and her husband Clarke of Lethbridge; Maureen Tatem and her husband Ted of Okotoks and Randy and his wife Kim of Brooks; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 sisters; brother and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 10th at 3:00 PM from Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. John Theiss officiated. Honorary Pallbearers were Rhonda McCaig, Kathryn Philpott, Jessica Philpott, Dana Pinnock, Tamra Petersen and Tara Greene. Active Pallbearers were Allan Philpott, Glen Philpott, Mark Tatem, Colin Tatem, Scott Tatem, Chad Pinnock, Matthew Philpott and Stephen Philpott. Interment followed at Brooks Cemetery.
