WITTING
WITTING – Annie Witting of High River, formerly of Nanton, passed away at the High River Nursing Home on November 15th, 2003 at the age of 88 years. She is survived by her husband Milo Witting, Nanton, her daughters Gail (Dave) White, CA, Shirley (Rudy) Schempp, Medicine Hat, Marilyn (Danny) Hyman, Calgary, Judith Paul, Thailand and by ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
WITTING
1914 – 2006
Milo Witting of Vulcan, formerly of Nanton, passed away at the Vulcan Extendicare on December 19th, 2006 at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his daughters Gail (Dave) White, Kimberly, BC, Shirley (Rudy) Schempp, Medicine Hat, Marilyn (Danny) Hyman, Calgary, Judith Paul, Kimberly and by ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
WOJCICKI
WOJCICKI – Isabelle Wojcicki of Red Deer, formerly of the Brooks area, passed away peacefully after a courageous struggle with cancer at the Red Deer Hospice on September 25, 2006 at the age of 78 years. Isabelle had a great talent and passion for playing Darts, even after her eyesight started to fail, she still enjoyed the game. She was good at knitting and would make all kinds of things for her family. Isabelle loved to tell stories about the sheep on the farm, they amused her very much.
Wombold
Wombold – Mr. Laverne Cicel Wombold of Calgary, beloved husband of Doreen, passed away in Strathmore on Sunday, August 3rd, 2014 at the age of 72 years. Born on November 12th, 1941 in Olds, Laverne received his education in Duchess. He married Doreen Beverly Allen on October 12th, 1963 in Calgary and together they resided in Sedalia, Bindloss, Brooks, Medicine Hat and most recently Calgary. Laverne worked for Dowell Oil Company, Canadian Export Gas and Ocelot Energy. Laverne and a long time friend Wayne Klatt owned and operated Alberta Plug Systems which they successfully ran for several years.
Lena Wombold
Lena Wombold, widow of the late Fred Wombold, passed away October 26th, 2006 in Brooks at the age of 98 years. Born in Ashley, North Dakota on January 3rd, 1908 she came to Canada with her family to Schuler, later moving to Bassano where she and Fred were married in 1929. They farmed in Olds until moving to Duchess in 1950 where they owned and operated the Duchess Pool Hall and Coffee Counter. Lena and Fred came to Brooks in April of 1973 and had resided here since. She was a 32 year Honorary Life Member of the Order of Royal Purple – Brooks Lodge # 104 and enjoyed crocheting and playing cards.
Woodman
Woodman – Bradford Owen Woodman of Rolling Hills, beloved father of Alan, passed away too soon in Rolling Hills on Wednesday, August 11th, 2004 at the age of 44 years. Born in Taber on November 14th, 1959 Brad received his education in Rolling Hills and Brooks. He work a variety of jobs including farming and in the oil field. Brad loved his family and the outdoors.
WOODMAN, DOUGLAS OWEN
Woodman – Douglas Owen Woodman, beloved husband of Vivian, Rolling Hills, passed away on May 26th, 2004 in Bow Island at the age of 69 years. Doug was born in Ellershouse, Nova Scotia on August 23rd, 1934 and came west to Purple Springs at the age of 17 years. He and Viv were married in Winnipeg on November 14th, 1958 and farmed in Purple Springs until moving to Rolling Hills in 1966. He was an avid outdoorsman.

Worms – Alexander Michael Worms of Brooks, passed away in Brooks on Saturday, May 27th, 2017 at the age of 40 years. A full obituary and funeral service information will be made available when finalized.

Worsfold
Worsfold – David John Worsfold, beloved husband of Violet Worsfold of Brooks, passed away peacefully on January 31st, 2005 at the Brooks Health Centre, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 64 years. Born on October 24th, 1940 in England, David was a kind, gentle man who always made time to stop and chat with friends, he will be missed. He was predeceased by his mother Jessie, father Frank and granddaughter Bridget.

WORSFOLD – Violet “Vi” Ethel
1918 – 2007
Violet “Vi” Ethel Worsfold, beloved wife of the late David Worsfold of Tilley, AB, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, June 15, 2007 at the age of 88 years.
Vi is survived by a sister, Betty Newham of England; daughter-in-law, Maureen; grandchildren, Caroline (Reid), Virginia (Doug), and Simon (Melissa); and great-grandchildren, Britt, Amanada, Logan, Cole, Austin, Jessica, and James. Besides her husband, David, Vi was predeceased by her first husband, Harry; granddaughter, Bridget; and most recently, her only child, Jim Beardsley in December of 2006.
