MCKENNA (Cyr) – With great sadness the family of Donna Rae (Cyr) McKenna announce the sudden passing of their loving mother, devoted wife, beloved daughter, caring sister and adoring grandmother, on Monday, August 8, 2022 in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 61 years.
Donna was born in Brooks, Alberta on March 14, 1961 and was the daughter of Henry and Rosemary Cyr.
Donna’s greatest joy in life was her family and especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed raising dogs, gardening, music, reading and watching hockey. She was loved by everyone who knew and met her.
At the hospital, her greatest wish was to have her family at her bedside, which did take place. Holding her hand and whispering words of love, they said goodbye to their devoted wife and beloved mother who brought them into the world.
Donna is survived by her loving husband Blaise; sons Ryan (Nicole) and Devon; daughter Lissa (Brad); her three grandchildren: Kolson, Piper and Kacey; her father Henry (Carol); sister Marlys (Karl) and brother Jim (Theresa).
She is also survived by aunts Gloria Ion and Shirley Gratrix, as well as nieces and nephews, Karlee, Tanner, Kelsey, Nikki and Tyson.
Donna is predeceased by her beloved mother Rosemary Cyr, and her grandmothers Alma Campbell and Helen Both.
Goodbyes are not forever.
