It is with saddened hearts that the family of Janice Faye Mayer announce her passing at AgeCare Sunrise Gardens in Brooks on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at the age of 70 years. Left to cherish Janice’s memory is her mother, Emelie; sisters, Carrie (Walt), Katherine (Allen), Tracy (Clayton) and Paula (Donnie); nieces and nephews, Laurie, Roger, Brooke, Cara, Lee, Ashley, Brandon, Dustin and Megan as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and friends at the Lodge in Bassano. She was pre-deceased by her father, Leonard. Janice was born in Medicine Hat on March 14, 1953. Janice love-loved country music and Kate used to call her Magpie as she would buy anything that shined. Her kind soul and big heart will be deeply missed! A private celebration of Janice’s life will be held at a later date.
