MacCallum – Brenda Lee MacCallum (nee Wilson) of Brooks, beloved wife of Bob MacCallum, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family after a brief illness in the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, on January 20th, 2025 at the age of 64 years. Brenda was born February 1st, 1960 in Moosomin, Saskatchewan to Gordon and June Wilson. After moving to Alberta, the family settled in Brooks in the 1970’s. Brenda was married to her loving husband, Bob, in 1980. They raised their children, Justin and Sandy, in Brooks. Brenda loved life and especially her children and grandchildren. She was an ardent fan of the Blue Jays and Roughriders. She enjoyed travelling, coffee with friends, sewing, and working in the yard with flowers and plants. But, most of all, she loved getting together with family and cheering on her grandchildren in sports. Brenda was predeceased by her parents, Gordon and June, sister Linda, and granddaughter Jayden. She is survived by loving husband Bob, son Justin (Ellen), grandsons, James and Jack, daughter Sandy (Roy), grandsons, Grayson, Lucas, Owen, sister-in-law Donna (Brent) Sosnowski and their family, niece Margie (Dave) Pickering and family, niece Francie MacCallum, and countless friends. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to doctor and nurses in Brooks and Medicine Hat for their kindness support and care shown to Brenda during her illness. After a Private Family Memorial Service, a public gathering will be held on Friday, January 31st from 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM at the Heritage Inn and Convention Centre.
