LOEWEN – Susie Loewen passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord at Brooks Health Centre on October 9, 2020, at the age of 88 years. She was born in the District of Turnhill, Saskatchewan on May 19, 1932 to John and Mary Petkau. She married Henry Loewen in July, 1952 and resided in Gem for a short while before settling in Brooks. She was a homemaker extraordinaire who enjoyed practicing hospitality and was actively involved in the Evangelical Free Church. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and infant daughter. Susie’s presence and prayers will be greatly missed by her family; daughter Joyce (Phil) Bergen, daughter Grace (Gene) Fox, and son Robert (Diane); six grandchildren, their spouses, and twelve great-grandchildren. The family expresses thanks to the doctors and staff at Brooks Health Centre and Sub-Acute for the care Susie received. Funeral services were held at Thom’s Funeral Home on October 15 at 1:00 pm with graveside services at Brooks Cemetery.
