Windrum – Linda Joan Windrum, beloved wife of Brian Windrum of Brooks, passed away on Sunday, June 18th , 2006 in the Foothills Hospital, Calgary at the age of 51 years. Linda was born in Taber and grew up on the family farm in Barnwell. During her 31 years with Brian, she lived in Taber, Calgary, Penhold and Brooks. Linda was an active volunteer while her children were growing up and more recently helped disabled and elderly persons in Brooks. She touched many people with her caring heart.
Linda enjoyed her garden and flowers especially her prized roses and pansies. She loved knitting, crocheting and various crafts which she gave to everybody. Linda also collected pigs for years and spent many hours with her precious cat Whiskers. She did all of this while being very devoted to her family and friends. Linda was predeceased by her parents Matilda and Tomas Gejdos and an uncle Carl Hubek. She is also survived by her son Matthew, daughter Jessica and granddaughter Hannah all of Brooks; brother Ronald (Wendy) Gejdos of Barnwell and his children Larry and Robert both of Lethbridge and Jeannie of Taber; uncle Bill (Elnore) Gejdos of Lethbridge; aunt Mary (Garth) Peterson of Spring Coulee; aunt Claire Hubek of Monarch and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 22nd from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Brooks. Rev. Father Vincent Tuan Ha Celebrant. Interment to follow at Brooks Cemetery.
