    LEHNER – Leon Wayne Lehner
    October 2, 1953 – July 13, 2021
It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Leon. He was born in Kelowna, BC to Casper (Cass) and Elizabeth (Betty) Lehner. He grew up in a musical family in Calgary, when he was 24 years old his Dad entered him in a talent contest and he won a record deal in Nashville Tennessee and cut a record there. He lived his younger years in Calgary. Then he moved to Kelowna and Kamloops and spent a few years there and worked for AAMCO Transmissions. Then he moved back to Calgary and worked for ASTRO Transmissions.
He always had an entrepreneurial spirit. He had an Import Export business for a while and enjoyed having a booth at the Flee Market and Farmers Markets. He then moved to Duchess and married Myna Phillips. He worked at Lakeside Packers for a while and then worked at Canadian Tire and eventually bought a ceramic and whiteware business and moved to Bassano. He thoroughly enjoyed this business until he retired. After he retired, he enjoyed doing woodworking.
In 2016 he was in a terrible accident and he finally had to slow down and enjoy life. He travelled into parts of the United States, enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth (Betty); Dad, Casper (Cass); Brother, Cary; Sister-in-law, Susan; Nephew, Cary Jr. (Bud); Nieces, Alisha and Tasha.
