Jungwirth – Kathleen Mae Jungwirth of Brooks, beloved wife of Joseph, passed away at Brooks Health Centre on December 14th, 2016 at the age of 71. Kathleen was born in Calgary on August 7th, 1945 and received her education there. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and always looked forward to planting her flower garden. Kathleen was a talented landscape artist who would beautifully capture God’s creations through oil painting. She very much enjoyed painting mountain and wildlife scenes on canvas and over the years Kathleen created numerous beautiful pieces. She was a skilled musician and composer who enjoyed playing the organ and accordion. Kathleen didn’t require music sheets; she had a strong memory and a gift for playing simply by ear. She was predeceased by her parents Gilbert and Ann Pilatzke and her sister Louise Barks. Kathleen is survived by her loving family; husband Joseph, son Daniel (Tiffany), daughter Krista Ibach (Michael), son Gregory (Ann) and her six grandchildren; sister Sheila Mclure, brother Wes Pilatzke (Bev); aunt Pauline Zakaluk and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Graveside services followed at Brooks Cemetery. Rev. Raul Hernandez Celebrant.
