JACKSON – Margaret Jane Jackson of Brooks, passed away in Brooks on Wednesday, August 20th, 2003 at the age of 90 years. Born in Kenville, Manitoba on December 19th, 1912 to Randolph and Ella May McCullough, one of nine children. She grew up and went to school in the Swan River Valley, Manitoba. Margaret married Wilbur Jackson on March 29th, 1934 and lived on a farm in the Harlington District, before moving to Swan River in 1945. She will be remembered by all whom knew her for her interest in people and the world around her. Margaret loved to read, do crossword puzzles, play bingo and tell favorite stories about her grandchildren to anyone who would listen. She had a deep and abiding faith in the goodness of God and she lived out her faith in thought, word and deed. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Wilbur, son Lloyd, parents and 3 brothers Donald, Cecil and Lionel and 4 brothers-in-law. She will be remembered with love by her children, son Leland and his wife Marilyn of Brooks, and daughter Lois Erickson and her husband Con of Killarney, Manitoba; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brother Wesley (Phyllis) McCullough of Edmonton; 4 sisters Blanche Halden of Winnipeg, Lena Myhre and Irene Bayford of Red Deer and Violet Peters of Kitchener; 3 sisters-in-law Bea McCullough, Doris McCullough and Frances McCullough and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 23rd from Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. George Edmonds officiated. Honorary Pallbearers were her grandchildren. Interment followed at Harlington Cemetery, Harlington, Manitoba on Monday, August 25th at 10:00 AM.
