Jackson – Linda Margaret Jackson of Duchess, beloved wife of Terrance Jackson, passed away in Brooks on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024, at the age of 74 years. Linda was born in London, England on August 1st, 1949 to Roy and Shiela Young. She married Terrance Jackson on April 7th, 1977 in Brentford, London, England. They moved to Canada in 1979, settling in Brooks. Linda managed the Telstar and Westbrooks Motels, where she would take on any task that needed to be done, from the front desk to cooking in the kitchen, to planting flowers, she was willing to roll up her sleeves and work hard so the hotels would be successful. Linda enjoyed camping, gardening and planting flowers, baking, cooking and was a big fan of the Brooks Bandits. She also liked to attend BINGO nights. Linda will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor, kindness to all people no matter their circumstances and her temper, when triggered. She could always be counted on to lend a hand to someone who needed it. Linda was dedicated to her family and loved her grandchildren dearly. She was predeceased by her parents Roy and Shiela Young, and brothers Laurie and Micky. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Terrance; children, Mark Young, Lisa Forseth and Carl Jackson and their families; siblings, Heather, Jackie, Tony and Terry and their families, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral Mass were celebrated on Saturday, June 29th at 11:00 AM from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Rev. Marino Infante Celebrant. In memory of Linda, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society 200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, Alberta T2E 2P5.
