The family of Jeanne Ireland, regret to announce of her passing after a lengthy stay in the sub-acute ward of the Brooks Health Centre, on Tuesday, December 27th, 2016 at the age of 89 years. Jeanne was born in Calgary on May 31st, 1927 to John and Hazel Watson. Jeanne was very involved with the Kinettes, Eastern Star and the Brooks United Church, as well as working at Central Drugs for over 20 years. She enjoyed needle work and she sent many pieces to friends and family on special occasions. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband Ken; daughter Cynthia Joy; sons Daniel, Timothy and Douglas and a grandson Michael. She is survived by her son John and his wife Cindy of Red Deer; brother John (Margaret) of Comox, B.C.; 5 granddaughters; 1 grandson; 7 great grandchildren; daughters-in-law Karin (Dan), Deborah (Tim) and Maureen (Doug) and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In memory of Jeanne, if friends desire, a memorial tribute to any children’s charity would be greatly appreciated.
