INDA – Emma Victoria Inda passed away Thursday, June 03, 2004 in the Brooks Health Center at the age of 87. She came to the Brooks area in 1937 to cook for a farmer (Dan Inda) who had recently come to our great country from Spain. In 1939 Emma and Dan married. They had two daughters (Carmen and Marian) who were raised on the farm that was sold in 1965, when Emma and Dan moved into the town of Brooks. Emma loved curling, playing bridge and being around other people. She was predeceased by her husband, two grandchildren and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by one sister, one brother, two daughters, seven grandchildren and eighteen great – grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 09, 2004 at 2:00pm in the United Church in Brooks. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Dan in the Brooks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
