    HODGINS, Elizabeth (Beth) Isabel
    March 1945 – March 2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our dear mother, Elizabeth Hodgins. After a long heartbreaking battle with Parkinson’s Disease, Mom passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on March 14, 2022.

Born in Inglis, Manitoba, Mom spent much of her young years growing up in Dauphin Manitoba. Once high school was complete, Mom enrolled in college to become a school teacher. After graduating with an education diploma, she went on to teach elementary school in Weyburn, Saskatchewan where she then meet her husband to be. Married in 1968, Mom soon decided to start her family.

Two children later and settled in Brooks, Alberta, Mom took on her role as a full time homemaker with pride and joy. She had a passion for gardening and cooking. She was always outside in the summer attending to her beautiful flowers and vegetables. And meals at our house, whether grand or simple, were simply the best. We ate like kings! Mom was very devoted to her family. In retirement, Mom and Dad moved to High River. Life was good. Many good times and memories were made. Most winters were spent travelling to Arizona and other warm spots. And the summers were taken up with lots of carefree friend and family camping trips.

Upon the finial progression of her Parkinson’s Disease, Mom spent her last years at the Seton Agecare Center in Calgary. Mom was a very beautiful, caring, and loving person. She always thought of others first. Mom was deeply loved and will truly be missed. She will forever be in our hearts.

Beth is predeceased by Robert, her husband of 48 years. She is survived by her children Barb (Fred) and Brenda (Vernon), and her grandchildren Duncan, Cassidy, Ayden, and Avery.

There will be no formal funeral service, however a private family memorial will take place at a later date. If so desired, please consider making a donation to Parkinson Canada, 4211 Yonge Street, Suite 316, Toronto, ON, M2P 2A9 or parkinson.ca/
